About Rachel Maki
Meet Rachel
Associate Therapist (she/her)
I became a therapist because I believe taking care of our mental health should not be an afterthought, but rather the foundation on which we build stable and fulfilling lives. Whether it's the daily stresses of life, the ongoing impacts of our past experiences, or concerns about the future, we all need a safe space to process our thoughts and emotions. I specialize in helping clients with managing anxiety, healing from trauma, setting boundaries, and learning to trust themselves.
My experience working with clients has ranged from young children to senior citizens from all walks of life. I offer a psychodynamic approach, helping clients to gain greater awareness of their inner worlds so they can begin to move from a more authentic place. From there, we gain the power to rewrite old stories that limit us and instead create meaningful narratives that support the life we want to live. I often integrate my background as a yoga teacher to provide a somatic framework to sessions, including breathwork and mindfulness techniques. I am passionate about empowering people to find the tools they need within themselves.
